BYD Delivers 3 Units Of All-New BYD e6 To Nepal Oil Corporation

Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd., in Nepal has completed the handover of second-gen BYD e6 to the state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC). The procurement of the second-gen e6 is part of NOC’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, says NOC.

“We are proud to be making this investment in electric vehicles as part of our commitment to sustainability,” said Suraj Shah, Director – Engineering Projects & IT Department, Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC). “We believe that electric vehicles are the future of transportation and look forward to exploring further opportunities to transition our fleet to electric vehicles.”

“The procurement of BYD EVs by Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) is a significant step towards reducing the country’s dependence on imported petroleum products and promoting sustainable transportation solutions. We hope that this collaboration will serve as a catalyst for more widespread adoption of electric vehicles in Nepal and contribute to a greener, cleaner future for all,” said Yamuna Shrestha, Managing Director of Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd.

The second-gen e6 is the longest-range EV in Nepal with a range of 522 km on a single charge. Equipped with Blade Battery technology, the second-gen e6 is also the world’s first electric vehicle to be equipped with Bosch’s IPB Intelligent Integrated Brake Control System.
