This is what these early adopters have to say about the BYD e6, a vehicle that not only represents cutting-edge technology but also embodies their commitment to sustainability and forward-thinking

Manoj Kumar Goyal, Chairman, NMB Bank

Having been deeply involved in the clean energy sector for an extended period, Manoj Goyal credits his achievements to his embrace of innovative technologies. A renowned name in Nepal’s banking sector, Goyal stands as one of the earliest adopters of the BYD e6.

After seven years of driving the e6, Goyal expresses profound satisfaction with its performance. The vehicle’s spacious cabin, design, and overall performance contribute to his contentment. Goyal takes pride in the substantial savings on fuel costs he has accrued over the past seven years by transitioning to electric vehicles. He also notes the remarkable durability of the e6’s battery and its consistent range performance over time.

Pradeep Kumar Thike, Managing Director, NEA Engineering Company

Seven years ago, the Tanahu Hydropower Project, under the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), acquired two BYD e6 vehicles. Thike, who was previously engaged in the project, highlights the comfort provided by the e6’s roomy cabin during journeys. He asserts that he has encountered no difficulties, even during extended trips. Additionally, he emphasizes the positive impact of utilizing electricity generated from their production for vehicle propulsion, replacing the need for costly imported fuel, which he finds highly encouraging.

Bhaban Bhatta, Chairman, BB Holdings

A prominent figure among Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) and the chairman of BB Holdings, Bhatta was an early adopter of electric vehicles, having purchased two BYD e6s in 2017. He takes pride in bypassing long queues at petrol pumps, observing conventional petrol and diesel vehicles, while he enjoys the smooth drive of his BYD e6.

Bhatta finds immense satisfaction in his contribution, albeit small, to environmental preservation by driving the e6. The absence of noise emissions allows him to proudly demonstrate his commitment to the planet. He expresses delight in witnessing the increasing presence of electric vehicles in the commercial sector.

Despite undertaking lengthy journeys, he hasn’t encountered any inconvenience due to the availability of ample charging stations. Bhatta emphasizes the necessity for governmental policy enhancements to facilitate the widespread adoption and operation of electric vehicles.
