BYD achieved the production of 1 million new electric vehicles and hybrids within just three months, signaling a notable increase in production volume. The company’s daily output stands at around 11,000 cars, equivalent to 457 cars per hour or approximately 7.6 cars per minute. Astonishingly, a new car is produced every 8 seconds.

To put this into perspective, BYD took 13 years to manufacture the first million new energy vehicles, starting from the launch of the BYD F3DM PHEV in 2008. The second million required 12 months, the third million only 6 months, and an additional 2 million NEVs were produced in the subsequent 9 months. BYD’s rapid pace continues, culminating in the production of their 6 millionth NEV.

In the last four months alone, BYD has introduced another 1 million new energy vehicles, showcasing an impressive average of over 250,000 vehicles produced each month.
