Motorcycle Racers Depart For Thailand To Participate In Round 1 Of FIM Asia Cup of Road Racing (ACRR)

A three-member Nepalese team has left for Thailand today to participate in the first round of FIM Asia Cup of Road Racing (ACRR) to be held from September 1 to 3 at the Nakhonchaisri Motor Sport Complex in Nakhon Pathom. Nepali riders Rajkumar Karki from Nuwakot and Ashik Lama from Kathmandu are representing Nepal in the Thai ACRR.

During the occasion, National Sports Council Executive Board Member Ekendra Kunwar, FIA World Council Member Govinda Bhattarai, Nepal Automobiles’ Association President Dasarath Risal and Vice President/ Head of Motorcycle Commission Sitaram Neupane bid farewell to the Nepalese team today.

The Thailand round of FIM Asia Cup of Road Racing will see qualified riders from all over Asia participating in the 200cc race. The Nakhonchaisri Motor Sport Complex (Thailand Circuit) is a motorsport track located in Thailand, its main layout length is 2500 meters with a 12 to 15 wide track. The circuit has 6 right turns, 4 left turns and 2 chicane turns.

Along with Nepal, riders from Japan, India, Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and China are also participating in the competition.
