Tata Motors has finally taken the wraps off its much-awaited all-new Altroz premium hatchback at the 2019 Geneva motor show. The Tata Altroz is the production version of the 45X concept that made its public debut at Auto Expo 2018 in New Delhi. Two variants were unveiled, a production-ready car with petrol/diesel engine and an EV concept. The Tata Altroz is the brand’s second model to feature the IMPACT Design 2.0 styling language, which made its debut in the Harrier SUV.
Altroz is the first Tata car to be based on new ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) Architecture. ALFA is a highly flexible platform and it is set to spawn a range of urban Tata vehicles. ALFA Arc can be tweaked to accommodate multiple body styles such as compact SUV, coupe, hatchback, etc. It also supports multiple powertrains including hybrid and electric.
